/ YARMOUTH SOUNDS
Working with young people aged 5 - 18 years old with fewer opportunities in the Great Yarmouth area, SeaChange Arts are working with Access To Music to deliver new music activity, workshops and regular sessions across a wide range of genres. Creative Professional Development, mentoring and apprenticeships are also an integral part of the programme.
SeaChange Arts have now finished the development phase of the project and have delivered 8 taster sessions engaging with 284 young people aged between 5 and 18 years old. We are now running regular workshops with the following groups:
- Singing and songwriting with GFS Platform
- Drumming and percussion with pupils at St George's Infant School
- MCing and DJing at Avocet House
- MCing and DJing with young people at Gapton Hall Travellers' Site
These sessions will be delivered by Access To Music tutors and will run until April 2013 on a regular basis.
