A scheme supported by Creative Arts East to develop a series of young promoters groups around Norfolk. Thirteen young people aged 13-15 at Caister High School took part in 6 weeks of training in event management, box office, marketing, health and safety, and roles and responsibilities to promote a professional Theatre production at the high school. The aim of the project was for the young people to promote and sell tickets to the local community and get firsthand experience of event management: including box office, front of house, stage management and publicity. All 13 young people are currently working towards their Bronze Arts Award. Rogue Theatre presented The Family on Thursday 11th February 2010 to an audience of 51 people including the Mayor of Great Yarmouth. For the next 3 years Creative Arts East will recruit and support 8 groups a year to promote over 40 professional arts performances. By 2012 their goal is to work with up to 20 groups across Norfolk and North Suffolk.
