/ OUT THERE FESTIVAL

18.09.2010

The East of England's largest festival of street arts and circus will take place in Great Yarmouth again this September.  Last year around 50,000 visitors enjoyed an international programme of music, comedy and ‘out there’ performances.

On the 18th and 19th September, St George’s Park in Great Yarmouth will again be the focus of a programme which this year sees acts from Ireland, Sweden, France and as far afield as Australia and New Zealand.

Much of the French contingent results from SeaChange’s involvement with the ZEPA partnership - an EU funded project partnering nine English and French festivals and producers to create and share tours, performers and expertise.

The highlight from across the channel this year will be the English premier of a legendary French street show called Bivouac. Produced by Générik Vapeur and featuring pyrotechnics, a rock soundtrack and a team of blue-painted men, Bivouac is a large scale street performance which has been setting streets on fire across Europe for almost twenty years.

There'll be a host of crazy acts from a formation shopping trolley team to 8ft kangaroos; pedal powered piano to performing rabbits.  There'll be plenty more to get involved in too with workshops, craft fair, helter skelter and much. much more!
