/ DRILL HOUSE
The Drill House has been home to SeaChange Arts since February 2012. Located in the heart of Great Yarmouth's growing cultural quarter, the Grade II listed building was constructed in 1867 and is the former home of the 2nd Volunteer Battalion Norfolk Regiment.
Since acquiring the Drill House SeaChange have set about establishing it as an international creation centre for street arts and circus.
Already home to our circus school, Drillaz and Lost in Translation Circus, the Drill House is available to hire for artistic residencies or for other events and functions. We also have a growing portfolio of street arts fabrications available to hire for your event or festival.
The Drill House forms part of a unique cluster of facilities and activities here in Great Yarmouth, affording visiting companies a host of opportunities:
- The Out There Festival takes place each September. Organised by SeaChange Arts, this international festival of Circus and Street Arts attracts some of the world's finest and most iconic performers
- St George's Theatre, opened in autumn 2012, includes indoor and outdoor performance spaces
- The town is also home to the Hippodrome, the country's last dedicated circus building
